THE FOURNIL STORY
Ours, like many Australian stories, is a story about new beginnings.
The Sudre family arrived in Australia from France in the 90s with a desire to make a contribution to their new country.
As third generation bakers they set out to create a factory in Botany NSW and in 1997 Fournil was born. Fournil is simply French for bakehouse.
As principals of Fournil we see ourselves as guardians of the Bakehouse ideals developed over centuries. We are specialist manufacturers of premium par baked bread. Fournil remains an authentic link between the French tradition and modern Australia with its fresh ingredients and vibrant culture.
We won’t be slaves to fads, however, we will embrace new ideas alongside original techniques. Most of all we’ll continue to build a business that is devoted to good food.
